Meet Marina Oliphant

story

Marina Oliphant has been shooting professionally since 2000. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Photography at RMIT University, she enjoyed a ten-year stint at The Age & Sydney Morning Herald newspapers as a Features and Magazines Photographer. Marina then pursued a freelance career, gaining numerous new clients. Her commercial and editorial work can be seen here.

Marina won her first photographic awards for landscape photography whilst in high school. She sees her renewed passion for this genre as a perfect balance to her commercial work.

Marina loves living by the ocean in Jan Juc with her partner and their two young sons.

PHILOSOPHY

“I believe that artwork is the best way to bring personality and style to a home or business. I noticed a desire amongst my friends for dynamic, memorable and unique artworks that don’t cost tens of thousands.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of clouds! I have an obsession with capturing nature’s spectacular displays, especially stormy skyscapes. I love for my images to convey the eerie, moody beauty of our world.”
